O’Connell, Tivin, Griffin & Burns, L.L.C., secured a defense verdict on May 24, 2011, in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. The Estate of Herman Dickerson brought a wrongful death claim as a result of plaintiff’s alleged exposure to defendant’s asbestos-containing products. Mr. Dickerson worked as a pipefitter for 36 years at the Sun Oil Refinery in Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania. After twenty-five days in trial and dozens of hours of thoughtful deliberation, the jury read their unanimous verdict in favor of our client.
